This woman is very unique. The world is very impressed because of her work. Who is this woman? Well, readers, let me introduce you, Maryam Mirzakhani.

Maryam Mirzakhani was born on May 13th 1977 in Iran. She is 39 years old now and she lives in California, United States. She married with Jan Vondrak, a theoretical computer scientist, and they have a very beautiful daughter called Anahita. What's the special things about her? Well, she is a very clever woman mathematician. In an interview, she once said "The more I  spent time on maths, the more excited I got." Cool right? And do you know? She is not just a very clever mathematician.
She is the first ever woman to win the Fields Medal, the most prestigious prize in mathematics. Fields Medal is similar to Nobel Prize, but Fields Medal is a prize for mathematician. Only for mathematician. FYI, Fields Medal is a medal for mathematician that is succeed to solve the most difficult question or problem about math or for mathematician that is succeed to find a new theory about math. And the Fields medal is given to mathematician with 40 years maximum age. So if you are 41 years old, you can't get this medal.
Back to Maryam Mirzakhani. So, Maryam Mirzakhani is the first woman and the first Iranian to win this medal. Isn't that great? Imagine how smart she is. She said when she was a girl, she never dream to be a mathematician, her dream was to become a writer. But who knows about future?

She won this medal on August 13rd 2014 when she was 37 years old. She won this medal in Seoul, South Korea. There were 4 candidates at that time, and she was the only woman. And turns out, she was the one who got the medals. Mirzakhani was awarded the Fields Medal in 2014 for "her outstanding contributions to the dynamics and geometry of Riemann surfaces and their moduli spaces". Her thesis showed how to compute the Weil-Petersson volumes of moduli spaces of bordered Riemann surfaces. Her research interests include Teichmüller theory, hyperbolic geometry, ergodic theory, and symplectic geometry.

Maryam Mirzakhani is now a math lecturer and a professor of mathematics at Stanford University. She is often got some invitations to do a speech and to motivate some students. Oh she also has a motivation to the students who don't like math. She said " I can see that without being excited mathematics can look pointless and cold. The beauty of mathematics only shows itself to more patient followers." So, be patient and excited, then you'll see the true beauty of math. :)
So, that's all from me. I hope her achievement could be inspirational to all of you guys.
Good bye! See you again at my blog!

Kabayan Never became Rich

Hello, Bloggers!
For this post I am going to tell you about my group's storytelling script. The title is Kabayan Never became Rich. Enjoy!

Kabayan Never became Rich

Widya as Kabayan
Rahma as Kavayan's wife
Haura as Goddes
Tsamarah as Narator

One day, Kabayan and his wife went to Mount Gede for praying, fasting, and meditating, so that their wish to become rich might be granted them. In the midst of their meditations, a goddes appeared to them.

Goddes               : " Kabayan,"
Wife                : "Look, Kabayan, The Goddes has appeared!!"
Kabayan          : " Wow, unbeliveable! Praise The Goddes!"

Goddes               : "Kabayan, You and Your wife have been praying and meditating for long time, now I granted you two wishes. Remember, it's only two. You better talk it over with your wife before you make them.”
Kabayan          : “Only two? But even Genie in Alladion story granted 3 wishes.”
Goddes              : “Just remember we lived in Tatar Sunda, not Persia.”

And The Goddes disappears. Kabayan and his wife had a lengthy discussion about what they should wish for.

Kabayan          : “We should wish for great amount of money!”
Wife                : “But Kabayan, we need rice for our food…”

Kabayan          : “We can buy rice if we have money, we can even buy other things like clothes, car, house, or jewelry like you want.”
Wife                : “No, rice is the most important. The others just addition.”
Kabayan          : “Please be understand honey, we suffer like this because we don’t have money.”
Wife                : “You will be more suffering if we don’t have rice, you can’t eat, and you will die!”
Kabayan          : “ Money, we must wish for money.”
Wife                : “Rice!”
Kabayan          : “ Money!”
Wife                : “Rice!”
Kabayan          : “ Money!”
Wife                : “ Rice, I said rice!”
Kabayan          : “Argh! You are so annoying! I wish The Goddes turns you into a monkey!”
Goddes              : “ Your wish has granted!”

As soon as Goddes granted Kabayan’s wish, Kabayan’s wife turns into a monkey. Kabayan was very surprised.

Kabayan          : “Oh my God! What have I done?!”
Goddes              : “ Kabayan, You have one wish left.”
Kabayan          : “What have you done with my wife?! She became a monkey.”
Goddes               : “ That’s your wish. I don’t do anything wrong. So what’s your second wish?”
Kabayan          : “Uh… What should I do? I want a lot of money, but my wife?”
Goddes               : “ You want a lot of money?”
Kabayan          : “NO! Wait a second please…Hmmm,. I want my wife back into a human”
Goddes              : “Your wish has granted.”

Kabayan’s wife turn back into a human. Kabayan was very happy. But..

Wife                : “Have you wish for rice?”
Kabayan          : “Um.. not yet…”
Wife                : “ I know you wish for a lot of money, right?”
Kabayan          : “ No.”
Wife                : “ So what you wish for?”
Kabayan          : “ I wish you turn back into human.”
Wife                : “What?! How fool you are! You are wasting your wishes!

Because of Kabayan’s reckless, they remained poor as long as they lived. The moral value of this story is be careful in making decision, think it wisely, don’t flow by emotion, control it. So that you’ll not regret your decision.

Okay that's the end of the story. So? What do you think?

Okay, this is the end of my post. See you again in my next post, okay?

Gili Trawangan, a small but beautiful island

     Hi Bloggers!
This time, I want to tell you about an amazing place called Gili Trawangan. Do you know where it is? Well, today I am going to tell you about that. Keep reading! ;)
Gili Trawangan is an island. Gili means little island in Sasak languange. Sasak is a local languange in Lombok. So, Gili Trawangan is a little island that is located at the northwest side of Lombok island. It is an island with 3 km long and 2 km wide. It's population is about 1500 people.
Sumber : Wikipedia
Actually, there are three Gilis at the northwest side of Lombok island. They are Gili Air, Gili Meno, and Gili Trawangan. But Gili Trawangan is the biggest island of Lombok's Gilis.
If you want to go to Gili Trawangan, you can go there with a boat. You can choose, if you want to go with a wood boat or with a speed boat. There are 3 ways to go there. One, you can go with a boat from Bangsal. Two, you can go with a boat from Nare Bay. Three, you can go with a boat from Senggigi Beach. Well, you can choose whatever you want. It's up to you.
When you arrived there, you will see a beautiful beach. It is so nature and amazing. The sand is very clean and the sea is very clear. There are some people who play banana boat, diving, snorkeling, play with some sands, or just enjoying the panorama. The best time to watch the panorama in the beach is when the sun set or when the sun rise. Trust me, it is so beautiful. It is a beautiful moment and if we capture the moment we will get a very beautiful picture.
Sumber : Wikipedia
There are so many activities we can do in there. And, it isn't just a beach activities. You can also rent a bicycle and explore the island with it. Or if you are tired to ride it, you can also rent a cidomo to explore. Cidomo is a traditional cart from Lombok. It is a cart with 2 car's wheels and a horse in front of it. It is similiar with delman. You must remember that Gili Trawangan is a local island, and the local people in there, don't use some motor vehicle. So, there are no polution in there.
If you want to spend the night in Gili Trawangan, there are some hotels in there. You can choose any hotel that you want. I suggest, it will be best if you choose a hotel that is near to the beach, so you can see the beach's panorama everytime you want from your room's window.
Well, I think that enough for this time. I hope this information can help you if you are visiting the Lombok island. You can ask more question about Lombok island to me. I am from Lombok, remember? ;)
     Bye Bloggers!

Megantara, a culture festival

     Hi again Bloggers!
Are you waiting for my next post? XD Well, get ready because today I will tell you about a culture festival called MEGANTARA. Megantara is a culture festival that is held by SMAN 3 Bandung. It is held at Bali Field, on Saturday, September 10th 2016.
On Saturday, September 10th 2016, I came to Bali Field at 7 AM. I had to come at 7 AM because there was a culture parade for SMAN 3 Bandung students. We wore a kebaya clothes. Kebaya is a local clothes of West Java. In this parade, we walked so far away. The parade started at 8 AM and ended at 10 AM. It was so funny and amazing. We yelled our yel-yel while we were walking. My feet got hurt but I was so happy. After the parade finished, I changed my kebaya clothes to a shirt. And then I went back to Bali Field.
When I arrived in Bali Field, the festival had begun. I gave my ticket to the committee of Megantara. And then, I went inside. The decorate in Bali Field was so different and awesome. Bali Field was divided to a different areas. There were Java's area, Sumatera's area, Kalimantan's area, Sulawesi's area, and Papua's area. In Sumatera's area, there were Jam Gadang, Sate Padang, etc. In Java's area, there were Gamelan, Batik, etc. Well, each area had it's own special stand.
Kalimantan's area
Sulawesi's area
Papua's area
The most important place in this culture festival was stage. The stage was so amazing. We could watch some performance in there. There were Bali traditional dance, Angklung performance by KPA SMAN 3 Bandung, some bands from SMAN 3 Bandung, Theatre by SMAN 3 Bandung, Music performance by ITB university students, traditional clothes fashion show by grade 10 students, and many more.
Megantara Stage
Wayang Performance
Traditional Clothes Fashion Show
Like the other festivals, Megantara also had some special guests. And the guests are........ The Changcuters and RAN! Yeah! The Changcuters performed first at 7 PM. They sang some rock n roll songs. I love their songs. Their songs made me feel energic and happy. I don't feel sleepy anymore, even though I felt so tired. And then, RAN performed last as a closing. They also sang some beautiful songs. I smiled when they sang their songs because the lyrics had a deep meaning. The Changcuters and RAN is a very talented singers.
Megantara finished at 10 PM. The closing were so cool! This culture festival is the best festival I've ever see. It makes me realized that we mustn't forget our own culture in this globalisation era. I will never forget this moment.
Well, I think this is where my story end. So, thank you for reading this. I'll see you in my next post, okay? Don't miss it!

World Tournament x Techno Fest

     Hi Bloggers!
     Nice to see you again!
Long time no see, right? I haven't post anything since 1 month ago. I'm so sorry. I have so many work to do and I just can't manage my time yet. Once again, I'm so sorry....
Well, for my second post, I will tell you about one of my activities in SMAN 3 Bandung as a 10 grade student. On Saturday, August 20th 2016, OSIS of SMAN 3 Bandung hold a World Tournament and Techno Fest or WTTF. WTTF was a tournament between SMAN 3 Bandung grade 10 vs grade 11. So, my class, 10 MIPA 4, was fighting against 11 MIPA 4.
The point of the games was to collect many puzzles. If we win, we will get a puzzle. And if we lose, grade 11 students will get it. After we finished all the games, all of the grade 10 students had to combine all the puzzle we got from the games and arranged it to be a certain picture.
This tournament was so amazing. We didn't say any Indonesian words. We must talk with English. And I thought this was so cool because I could learn to speak English with my friends. Another thing that is made this game was so amazing was that we pretended to be an astronout and we had a planet called BB32019. The 11 grade students also had a planet called BB32018. The games hold in a different places and we had to walk to get in there. In the middle of the games, there will be an alien that is trying to steal our puzzles. An alien was one of the OSIS members that is wearing a raincoat. We had to throw a water balloons to the aliens. If we hit it, we will get some extra puzzles. But if the aliens hit us, we had to give our puzzles to them. So, can you imagine how amazing the tournament was? Well, do you want to know which grade is the winner? Which planet will win? 32019 or 32018? Let's read my story again.
For the first game, my class went to Musik Park. We were having some quiz in there. But unfortunately, we lose. And then, we went to the Bali Field. We played some awesome games in there such as Flappy Bird, Quiz, and many more. We won all of the games in there and we got 3 puzzles. When we were about to go to the next games, there was an alien! We ran to catch it. We throw some water balloons at it. And we finally hit it! Yeah! We got some extra puzzles. Then, we went to the next games. The next games was in Photography Park. It was so far away. And we had to walk to get in there. But, we didn't give up. We had to fight for our planet, right? ;) In Photography Park, we got a puzzle. And then, we went to SMAN 3 Bandung. SMAN 3 Bandung was where we played our last games. After the games finished, we went to the Bali Field again and we joined all of the grade 10 students to combine the puzzles.
We had to combine the puzzles properly. We only had fifteen minutes to combine it. The fastest grade is the winner. And the winner was.......... grade 10 students! Yeay! We won! This is the pictures of our arranged puzzles.
This tournament ended at 4 o'clock. We came home with an amazing feeling. This tournament was so cool! I will never forget this moment. Although my body was tired, my mind was happy because I was having a wonderfull time with all of my classmates. If we are doing some jobs with our friends, no matter how many jobs we have, we won't get tired. You can prove it if you don't believe it.
Well, thank you for reading my blog. I hope it's not boring.
     Bye, Bloggers!
See you in my next post!
